You're likely familiar with seeing Volkswagen cars on the road. Now, you can see your favorite models, along with classic Volkswagens, at a new exhibit celebrating the brand's history in America.

Volkswagen has partnered with the Simeone Foundation Auto Museum in Philadelphia to present a special exhibit commemorating 75 years of Volkswagen production in the United States. The exhibit, which runs through January 12, 2025, showcases Volkswagen's most iconic models and highlights key milestones in the company's American journey.

The exhibit not only takes visitors back in time with classic models like a vintage 1949 Beetle, a 1967 21-window bus, and a 1984 GTI, but also offers a glimpse into the future with the Volkswagen ID.Buzz electric vehicle. Beyond the cars themselves, the exhibit provides detailed information about each vehicle, giving visitors a deeper understanding of their history and influence on both Volkswagen and American car culture.

About Volkswagen

Although this special exhibit focuses on popular Volkswagen models in the U.S., the automaker's roots lie in Germany. Founded in the early 1930s as "Volkswagen Group," the company built a reputation for producing practical and affordable vehicles. "Volkswagen" translates to "the people's car," and the company dominated the German auto scene for many years. Its popularity spread globally, leading to expansion into markets like the United States.

While the Beetle remains Volkswagen's most iconic model, the company now offers a diverse range of vehicles, including sedans and SUVs like the Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport, Golf, ID.4, Jetta, Tiguan, and Taos. Volkswagen's primary U.S. production facility is located in Tennessee.
