Safety recalls are not because vehicles are likely to cause harm, but rather because vehicles could potentially cause harm under an unlikely set of circumstances. In many cases, safety recalls are merely a precaution. Remember, the sooner you contact our Volkswagen dealership, the sooner we can have your vehicle repaired safely.
If the recall regards a critical component, please contact us immediately so we can set about getting your recall service scheduled for the soonest available time. Though your vehicle is still safe to drive, a critical component recall requires your prompt attention.
Do I Have to Pay for Recall Repairs?
Any open recall is covered by Volkswagen of America, and recall costs are free for our customer. In some rare cases, additional repair work may be necessary. In such cases, additional charges would be assessed to a customer, but we will let you know before we begin work that could cost you money.
Safety is our main priority with recalls. Our goal is to repair your vehicle and get you back on the road with your vehicle in its best possible condition. With most recall work covered (free for you) there is no reason not to contact us immediately to get your recall work scheduled as soon as you can.
