Volkswagen has always focused on creating vehicles “for the people,” and its move into the electric vehicle market continues that tradition. The brand is now introducing the ID. CROSS Concept, an all-electric compact SUV built with efficiency, practicality, and affordability at its core.

About the ID. CROSS Concept

Volkswagen unveiled the ID. CROSS Concept at IAA MOBILITY in Munich, Germany, in September 2025. At the show, the company emphasized the vehicle’s versatility, noting that it’s just as well-suited for everyday driving as it is for extended road trips. The model features a sleek, modern exterior design paired with a high-tech interior filled with advanced amenities and comforts.

The ID. CROSS Concept will become the fourth EV in Volkswagen’s lineup, joining its family of environmentally friendly and efficient models. While it shares qualities with Volkswagen’s other electric vehicles, it introduces unique traits that help set it apart. One standout feature is its bold exterior paint options, such as Urban Jungle Green, which give the SUV a striking road presence. The dynamic design combines sharp lines, strong angles, and a sporty stance, while the softer styling of the front end adds a friendly, approachable touch.

Though it makes a strong visual statement, the ID. CROSS Concept is also highly practical. Its compact size makes it easy to maneuver and park in tight city spaces, even qualifying for designated “compact” parking spots. Inside, the cabin is surprisingly spacious, offering generous passenger room and smart storage solutions. Premium touches like ambient lighting, advanced climate control, and customizable sound settings transform the interior into a refined and comfortable space that feels more like a lounge than a traditional cabin.
