Specs at a Glance

Volkswagen is looking to make a name for themselves in the electric vehicle game with the 2021 ID.4, as it is the companies first electric-only platform. The ID.4 will be available in two trims at launch, the 1st Edition and the Pro trim.

Appearance

If you are looking to get an ID.4 as soon as possible, you should look into getting a 1st Edition trim. These vehicles will be made first and can only be customized in certain ways. The 1st Edition is available in Mythos Black Metalic, Glacier White Metalic, and Dusk Blue Metalic. The Pro trim keeps the first two color options but replaces the Dusk Blue Metalic with Moonstone Gray and Scale Silver Metalic.

The 1st Edition comes with nearly every package as standard, along with having some extras that set it apart. The 1st Edition gets unique badging along with white interior accents, a black painted roof, silver roof rails, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a large panoramic fixed glass roof. The standard ID.4 Pro comes with a futuristic interior as standard with all digital gauges and a touchscreen multimedia interface. Volkswagen has done a great job of making the interior design of the ID.4 reflect its green nature while still having intuitive controls.

Performance

VW is not looking to make the ID.4 focus on performance too much. All 1st Editions come with rear-wheel drive, while the Pro can be upgraded with all-wheel drive if you want more capabilities. The 1st Edition will go from 0-60 mph in the high seven seconds and will have a driving range of around 250 miles depending on the configuration.

Features

The ID.4 is fairly feature-rich as standard. The ID.4 Pro comes with IQ DRIVE as standard and Pro Navigation and a 10-inch touchscreen display. It also comes with creature comforts like heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and wireless charging for your devices. You can also wirelessly connect your devices to the multimedia interface if your device is compatible.

The Volkswagen lineup of ID.4 vehicles are looking to bring the brand into the electric vehicle game with style.
