Specs at a Glance
Thanks to the 2024 Volkswagen lineup, finding the perfect SUV has never been easier. Whether you choose the 2024 Taos or the 2024 Tiguan, you'll enjoy versatility, performance, and driving excitement. However, these two models differ in key ways worth considering.
Performance
The Taos, Volkswagen's smallest SUV, is powered by a turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder engine that delivers 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The larger Tiguan requires a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder, generating 184 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive Taos models and all Tiguan variants come with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the all-wheel drive Taos gets a sportier seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Appearance
Compact and eye-catching, the 2024 Taos comes standard with LED headlights, roof rails, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Opting for the top-tier SEL trim adds 19-inch alloy wheels and an illuminated grille bar for an extra touch of style. The Tiguan offers most trims with front-wheel drive and a standard third row, though the third row is removed with all-wheel drive models. Regardless of configuration, the Tiguan includes LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and heated side mirrors.
Features
Both the Taos and Tiguan deliver a premium experience. The Taos includes standard features like a heated steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, 6.5-inch touchscreen, and seamless smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Tiguan enhances comfort with heated front seats, a push-button start, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror, along with the same infotainment capabilities.
Safety
Volkswagen equips both the Taos and Tiguan with a suite of advanced safety features. Standard across both models are adaptive cruise control, a lane-keeping system, and forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking. Additionally, both SUVs feature blind-spot monitoring, with steering assistance to help keep the vehicle in its lane when needed.
Both the 2024 Taos and Tiguan offer multiple trim levels to suit your needs. Contact our team today to explore your options, and let us help you find the perfect SUV for your lifestyle.
