What's New for the 2022 Volkswagen Passat?
This year, a new Limited Edition trim hits the lineup. Not only does the Passat Limited Edition feature exclusive exterior treatments, but it also comes loaded with a number of upscale interior features.
2022 Passat Trims & Features
Volkswagen offers the new Passat in three trims: SE, R-Line, and Limited Edition. The SE trim brings a great deal of value to the table. Among its key features include a 6.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, a power sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and remote start.
Drivers seeking a sportier look will be interested in the Passat R-Line. Exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels and a more aggressive R-Line front bumper help it to stand out. Meanwhile, a Fender premium audio system brings enhanced sound quality.
New for 2022 is the Passat Limited Edition. Distinct exterior detailing gives it a special look. This trim also offers an exclusive Racing Green metallic paint color. On the inside, Comfort Sport leather seats create a more luxurious atmosphere. Other notable upgrades include a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen with navigation, a hands-free trunk, and Park Assist.
2022 Volkswagen Passat Horsepower
Every new Passat uses the same powertrain. Under this midsize sedan's hood rests a turbocharged TSI four-cylinder engine. It's rated to crank out a satisfying 174 horsepower. A six-speed automatic transmission further enhances the Passat's smooth and responsive performance.

The 2022 Volkswagen Passat is loaded with valuable safety technologies. If you happen to be involved in a crash, VW's Automatic Post-Collision Braking system will help prevent secondary impacts.
