2021 Volkswagen Atlas

What's New For the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas?

The Atlas first launched in 2018, gets a slightly refreshed exterior appearance: a new grille, redesigned headlights, and restyled bumpers for 2021. The cabin gets some attention as well, with the addition of a new steering wheel and a few more driver-assist safety technologies, including traffic sign recognition. The mechanical system carries over the same from the 2020 model year. A quiet and comfortable ride is a highlight of the 2021 Atlas, and it comes with a range of technologies and safety features based on the trim level.

What Features Are Available for 2021?

The 2021 Atlas has eight trims. The base trim, the S, gets 18-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights. The interior, which seats eight, has split-folding seats in the second and third rows. The base infotainment display is a 6.5-inch touchscreen. The S also has a six-speaker sound system. Infotainment and connectivity are easy with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. An in-car WiFi hotspot is standard, and the S gets the Volkswagen Car-Net app services.

The SE brings a power liftgate, three-zone climate control, USB ports in the second row, and a larger eight-inch display to the mix. This trim is also offered with a technology package. The R-Line variant includes sporty interior accents and dark gray wheels. The SEL adds a panoramic sunroof, a digital instrument panel, and a heated steering wheel. The SEL R-Line gets larger 21-inch wheels. The SEL Premium adds ventilated seats and extends heated seats to the back row. The SEL R-Line gets ambient interior lighting, leather seats, and a 360-degree camera.
